4 speakers per door anyone?

    OK, so it seems to me that I saw that door panel in an audio magazine back in the 80's somewhere...but I dunno.

    They would sound OK, so long as the crossover points were carefully designed. If both of those 5.25" play the same frequencies, they will have "comb filter effect" and sound like shit.

    If they did 2) 6.5" running from about 80Hz to 500Hz, a big assed soft-dome midrange from 800Hz to 6KHz and a decent tweeter above that would be pretty dammed amazing.

      The glass reflects mid range and high range, as you might have seen with woofer systems, it really dos not matter much where you place the low frecuency speakers, low frecuencies are transmitted very well and are omnidirectional, so even with a woofer in the trunk, the low frecuencies will reach you fine.

      I think all those speakers in the doors are meant ot give good sound quality at fairly low or intermediate volumes. They are not meant to blast your hips away :p .
