    where do they get there signal from? like which color wire?

    I assume an amp is relatively easy being that the sub and amp would be in the truck and the battery is also there, making it a very easy wire install. like three feet of wire. Well thick wire.

    Yeah, run 3 sets of decent RCA's when you do it, so if you expand your system, it will be easier. Don't forget the remote wire!

      little more help.

      you might have to break this down barney style.
      three RCA's now that i think those are, "the cables that come out of the head unit to the sub. the audio jack kind", what are you talking about?
      and three sets, all the cables out the back of the head unit are full with the current speakers, do you mean just run three to each speaker?
      thanks in advance for an explanation. short and sweet if you want.

        do you have an aftermarket headunit?
        most come with atleast 2 sets of RCA outputs coming out of the back

        RCA's are the red and white cables, often used in home audio as well
