Finished intsalling new tweeters into tweeter pods...

As said, I just finished intstalling new tweeters into my tweeter pods. They are the Infinity Reference tweeters from my Components.

Overall the process was much easier than expected.

A little bit of heat gun and prying and it came all out. I got worried when some of the plastic began to melt, but I kept going. I found out the plastic I was melting could come out later. I pulled it out (it is the little plastic "ring" surrounding the tweeter.

I rubber cemented and and ??? siliconed the tweeters in. I took the grilles off the tweeters that they came with because they interfered with the grille on the pod. The adhesive was placed on both the front and back of tweeter, because I had taken the pods grill off to put some adhesive in that seam.

Now I just wait for it to dry! Will get some pics tomorrow!

    That was crappily explained. ;)

I will do a good write up later for my site, explaining re-wiring and everything I am going to do to my stereo!

      That ONE will be clear!

Yup I used a heat gun. :firehop:

I took EVERYTHING that held the old tweeter in out. I also used the mounting hardware that came with my tweeters to make it wide enough for the hole. Otherwise it would fall through!

I will reccomend getting the dremel anyways. They have many good uses! :D
