    Sirius or XM anyone???

Has anyone here installed stallite radio in their car? I am toying with the idea and wondered if anyone had any good or bad experiences with either sirius or xm.

Circuit City represent! I agree: go with XM. Subscription is around $10 a month.

I use to have Sirius, just canceled it today

the antenna's look TERRIBLE, nothing that I could find looked good, even on the XM side of things.

they still play the same music in a loop, and it costs monies!

ok sirius is commercial free, and they are staying that way. both are trying to sign howard stern and syrius already got the nfl. if that matters.
expect syrius to take off quick if they get howard

A friend of mine works at Circuit and has Sirius, another friend of mine has XM. Personally, I don't like that Sirius is $15/mo for the frickin' radio. XM has crappy rap stations, but not as many commercials as you would think. Personally, I'd go with XM, just because it's cheaper.

you pay more with syrius becuase they have no commercials, however they seem to be taking off financially, but you never know.
if i pay for radio, i dont want commercials.

everytime i've listened to XM or sirius (in a store), there's been some form of advertising, like commercials for the service or whatever.

I have XM in my 318 and will be getting Sirius in the M3 as soon as Eclipse comes out with their tuner. Stay tuned and I'll let you know my comparison.

As far as XM is concerned, I am satisfied with it. The initial amusement wore off but it is still very nice to have this large selection of music. It hooked me enough to switch decks in my M3 so I could have it completely digital and controllable by the head unit. So I definitely like it, and now that my dad has it in his new Escalade he is hooked on it too.

I do have trouble with reception sometimes though, but I think it has to do with the location of my antenna. I don't like the looks of them so I mounted it in the middle of my rear parcel shelf, up against the back of the seat. This is against what they say is optimal, which would be on a 9" diameter piece of metal that acts as part of the antenna (like the roof). Because it only happens facing south (when the roof is in the way of the antenna sight of the satellite signals ) I think that is the cause, and if I moved the antenna it would be gone.
