    C43 vs Nakamachi CD4/500?

I would like a factory looking deck yet want modern CD in dash. Hate all the units bright obnoxious colors and flashy styles. Want a subtle but clean sounding deck.

I currently own a Alpine unit that I don't like. It sounds good and with a small amp drives a small Infinity bass link plus a set of MB Quarts. But I can't stand the the blue and glitze.

I know a few folks that have done the C43 and have it wired into the factory system. Does anyone remember the part number for the harness?

I have a Nakamichi CD400... I will try to swap it from my broke 325i to my fresh 325i and take some pics if you'd like. If you are local, you can check it out in person. I like it, but I wish I had waited so I could get more features out of it like mp3 capability. But with the aux input, who needs that. CDs get scratched anyways.

What year is the CD43? BEST makes a harness for both styles, I usually stock both, am currently out of both.

What is the difference in styles, Luke?

The C43 is a philips item, correct?

How would you rate a small E30 system based around a C43, infinity kappa splits and a 12" DVC kappa sub, alpine amps with bi amplified splits up front, and an Audio Control 3XS?

Should be nothing short of fantastic, Ray.

Make sure the sub amp has a sub level control, or do the 6XS.

It was coming from the dealer so I have no idea what year it was. But It sold before I had the funds darn but S14 music is music within itself.
