Okay, so my sound quality ranges on the level of "shit spewing out the speaker".

So I want to make a list. After reading as many posts by Luke as possible, it has come to my attention that tri-amping is the goal. Let me now mention I know little to nothing about car audio.

Also:

I want a "Business Class" cd player from an E36 or E46. I will feed that into an AudioControl 6XS crossover and 3 amplifiers. That crossover will give me a subwoofer level control and absolutely amazing sound quality. Far better than virtually ANY aftermarket deck...and believe me, I am far pickier than anyone you have ever met.

So which amplifier is worthy? Which subwoofer? I want to have this thread here for anyone who wants to know what to get in order to have a truly awesome system, not booming-rap-bass shit. And its gotta be OEM+, stock looking in every way.

Well it sounds like you got a good idea going now. Your best bet and to save some money call Luke for the amps. If he has his sale going on still there is not anything out there that can beat his price on some really nice amps. And his line of component speakers are great for the money as well. Kind of like your one stop shop. Run your sub and your front off two amps and just get some fill speakers and power off the deck or factory amp. No real need to have crazy nice stuff for rear fill. It just helps with staging! Good luck and Im sure Luke will chime in here soon!

Im running the Avic N1 as a head unit. Boston pros components for fronts. Have some old Rally speakers for rear, running off the head unit. The I have one sub, an Audiobahn Q series 10. My amps are from Luke and they are the 600.4 for the fronts, and 600.1 for the sub.

The amps are super nice and at a price that you could ebay them for more than what he charged. Sorry Luke but Im keeping mine~ :o)

I may keep my old school Sony unit, matches the car nicely. But I'm just trying to figure what amp and stuff so I can save up. I sat in my friends car and it was astounding with MB Quart component speakers...

I would love an oldschool Apline or some shit.
