OEM tweeter help

my driver side door tweeter doesn't work (bought car that way)

i went to swap the front speakers out for some eclipse and assumed it was just a broken crossover on the stock speaker. But that isn't the case.

I went to tap the tweeter wire into the other speaker wire for the 4.5,... and it still doesn't work.

I did this to the other side (tap the tweeter wire with the speaker wire) and that side works.

What else can i check?

If it doesn't work, chances are it is blown. My driver's side tweeter is blown as well.

so i take it that the wiring going up to the tweeter USUALLY is NOT the case?

nearly all the time the wiring will be fine.

It's a good time to replace the tweeters :).

hmm.. welp... if i would have known that... i would have bought components instead of 3- ways

The tweeter runs off of the speaker in the kick panel. Pull the kick panel off and see if the wires came loose.
