So I removed the original antenna and installed an aftermarket unit. The new one comes with a bayonet plug but the cable in the car has a screw on type connector. Is there an adapter I can buy or should I cut the connector and somehow rewire the old cable to the bayonet.

why not just get an oem e30 antenna, best looking imo, they go awayYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
