i notice once i pump up the volume (around 20) the HU restarts. any idea what it can be? i currently have that matched with infinity 5.25 components in the front and infinity coaxels 6.5 on the back. i dont know if its a setting that causes it to shutdown, maybe a safe mode? let me know what you guys think.

OK, try this. Go into your menu and turn off the "POWER IC".
You will have no sound, but crank the hell out of it and see if it shuts off (it won't).
I will just guarantee that you are having an install issue.
Were the speakers rewired? Do the "Fader" and "Balance" controls work properly? If the car has not been rewired, you have several issues...but $20 in speaker wire and half a day in the garage will fix it.

hey luke,
first off thanks for the input, well right now i just finish doing my installed a week ago. i have infiniti 5010 components with crossovers in the front and 62.7 in the rear. i did rewire everything but used the stock wires coming from the back and just cut them and extend them to the HU. same with the crossovers. fader and balance should be working the right way, did that when i first installed it and worked properly. i will double check tomorrow. could it be possibly that i have fader setup as +2 or that would matter?

My first thought was that the stock wires were used but the fader bypassed.
Then I realized you have Infinity Kappa (there is no "r" in Kappa) which are 2 ohm. This should not make the deck shut down though...just get it really fucking hot and make distorted sound.
I bet you have an inadequate ground or power setup. The stock stuff should do just fine, as long as it is in good shape. I would pull that deck and have a peek.
GL!
Luke
