    Fuse 20 keeps tripping

Whenever I have the Fan on as well as the A/C, it will run for a few minutes or more, and then suddenly fuse 20 will break. It's happened twice in the last two days that I've been using the A/C.

I'm thinking it's a loose or bare wire that's causing the fuse to pop. Any ideas as to where to look for a loose wire?

this may not be the best advice... but what i do when this happens, if i cant find the cause of the problem, i'll put in a bigger fuse. like if its a 7.5 amp, i'll put in a 15 amp. i did it on my jetta, i kept blowing fuses for the power windows. it was a 15 amp, so i put in a 20 amp and it worked out fine for 2 years or so, until i sold the car.

putting on my flame suit now....

does it also happen when you put the car in reverse? This happened to me, its just the wire reverse wire that goes up under the big rubber shift boot. Take off your leather boot and take a look.

Horrible advice. Don't do this. There is a limit on the amount of current for a reason (a function of wire length and gauge and fire).

Anyway, I bet it is your compressor and or low freon. Does it blow cold?

It does blow pretty cold, not super cold, but cold enough to keep me cool when it was hot outside.

          Any other ideas?

I don't think that's the case. Both times when the fuse blew I was driving down the road.

BUMP for any other Ideas? It's still doing it. I can be sitting in traffic with my fan on, press the A/C button, it works for about a minute or so, then the fuse blows.
