    Radio stopped pushing sound out.

So i was driving and all of the sudden my radio stopped pushing sound out of the speaker. But the radio still works/ reads the cd and operates normally. All the fuses are fine along with the one behind the radio. And the wire harness is still all in tact. Any ideas? Maybe a dead radio? ITs a pioneer headunit btw. And when i turn the radio on i can hear the speakers kind of power up. Like a short little pop like when you connect it to a signal.

I laughed when I saw this title "Radio stopped pushing sound out"

So, when you turn the radio on you can hear the "pop" in all of the speakers ? Is it one of the front or rear speakers not working ? Do you have one of those "Balance" knobs in the dash that some of the e30s came with ?

          short inna speaker wire.

Use a DVM. Pull the radio, pull the plug. Check all 8 speaker wires. Cut the ones that have a ground. Find the short and fixit!

                Yo E30Gangster....

I got a one if you want to try to figure out the issue. I used it on my install which is now complete :D . Let me know if you want to pass by and maybe we can figure it out.

                Later.

Glad to hear it. I was going insane without the radio. 8wks + of nothing but m20 valvetrain and creeks and rattles driving me nuts. I can imagine in your "all business" application. Anyway don't have a camera for the final pics. Still tunning and stuff but overall very worth it!. I wussed out on the paint cause working with bondo was going to be more of a pain to get it perfect than the fiberglass, so Carpet FTW!. Still looks good and the door pods and kicks came out pretty nice also and the play very nice together.

Whatever you buy, just bring it over. I can hook it up for you (or better yet show you how to, pretty easy). What model are you looking at getting?.
