e30 325is CPU link to carputer

Do any of you guys know of a way to 'tap into' the monitoring and diagnostics in the CPU and transport that information into a computer? I'm thinking that mechanics already know of such a tuning device. I'm going to install a 'carputer' into my '87 e30 and would like to keep an eye on engine management with a link to the OEM CPU. This will make my Euro e36 M3 3.2 engine transplant and tuning a little easier in the future. Is there a company out there that manufactures applicable software/hardware? Thanks for the help or advice!

The new corvette has what you are looking for, its called a CAN line (controller area network)

no such thing on your old e30

get a good ems, and it will have a CAN line, and you can do whatever you want with that
