    sub/amp install

did you guys just run the pos to the pos and the neg to the neg or did you ground the amp out somewhere else?

i have a feeling for some reason its not good to ground the amp out on the battery...

I think most just ground it to the closest spot they can with a big screw. Make sure you grind away any paint though.

However, some also believe that everything should be run to the battery directly, eliminating any ground loops. This isn't always need though and is usually a lot more of a PITA.

well, i ran it to the bolt where the battery is grounded, not directly to the battery. im pretty sure it should be a-ok

That's the best ground point, to keep the potential difference between the positive and negative of everything the same (of course, it means you should also run everything audio from the positive side of the battery).

I made another ground point in the trunk, stripped/ground it to bare metal, screwed it in, and silicon sealed it. If you go that route just be wary of the fuel supply.
