how about this CD Player?

What do you guys think of this CD deck?
It's a Rockford Fosgate Platinum series. It's available in Japan only. The unit is built by Denon (RF just slaps their name on it). If you've never heard of Denon, you're probably not an audiohile; if you have, you know it's very high quality. It has a complete copper-chassis and 8V pre-outs. It retails for about a grand or so. I'm a little weary about the titanium face (real titanium), but it has an amber illumination. I really like the simplicity of it too.




*If I end up getting a new CD player, my Clarion DRX9375R will be for sale (an audiophile-only deck).

It would look good if you had a brushed aluminum dash kit as well. Otherwise no.

Here is the Denon version in black (can't get the RF in black, only titanium). The Denon one is $1600 though.

Keep in mind that the RF one has amber illumination (which looks just like the Denon one above).

I also like that it has a fixed faceplate.

It wouldn't stick out at all. It sits flush with the dash. It also doesn't have one of those trim pieces either.

Find one as nice as the one above for $200 and you'll be my hero.

I like it because it doesn't have a lot of features (read: no frills).

I wish I still had my Nakamichi CD-7 :(
