OK, so here is a tiny bit of work (NON E30)

So I am finally gonna show youse guys a pic or three of some pretty work, something I am actually proud of.

I have not taken the time to do a real photoshoot, but sooner or later I will.

This install is all MDF, except for a tiny bit of filler. Kind of simple, but clean.

This car hits about 147db, and anyone who hears it is impressed.

    Here is the breakdown:

2 Exile XP12 DVC subs in 3.88 cubic feet, tuned at 33Hz.
2 pair of Exile XP65 Component speakers
1 Exile 1200.1 Mono Subwoofer amp
    1 Exile 600.4 4 channel amplifier

Some cheapass Pioneer headunit, I think DEH-P660. CD skips at high bass, poor old piece of shit needs a hard drive!

Anyway, a couple of pics: Kind of a tight fit

A simple design with a bunch of fitment work:

    Finished box, ready for vinyl:

Wrapped in 1 piece of vinyl. Took 5 people about an hour to wrap this thing!

Tight fit in this '97 'teg: doing sidepanels for seperates in the hatch.

I think it is nice that these woofers come with grilles. Great touch!

Here is a shot of the complete system, but you really cannot see shit. Camera work is not my speciality...

I wish I had shot the amps. They are on the floor, on either side of the car. Kind of a waste of space, but really cool IMO.

Anyway, just wanted to show a bit of my work.

    Luke

I have seen this car in person and it FUCKING POUNDS!!!!!!!!!! I have never heard something so loud and so clear in such a small amount of air space. If you know anything about subs you know that accomplishing both loud and clear in any compact car is a true feat.
        Great Job Luke

Nice work! Components in the trunk is hilarious ;)

Had same gen integra before with two IDQ v2 12s and a single phoenix gold zx amp, each sub was in 1.2cu.ft sealed and it was damn loud with only 150wrms to each sub. Reliable, fun car too.

SIQUE install. Here is a picture of my buds 2002 sub install. He built the box himself with optomized dimensions for that sub. He has a rear seat delete carpet kit, 2 6x9s in the rear deck, dynamat extreme everywhere, e21 recaros, new front carpet and autopower rear cage. Should be a super nice 2002 interior when he is done. Goes by 02tii on this forum and just bought a 92 alpine vert with 73k miles.

I did not see the original post, things move quite fast on this forum...

Great stuff Luke, it's like watching one of my favorite shows "UNIQUE MOTORSOPRT" on speed vision. I watch it because of the builds, not the drama, I hate how the drama is part of these shows, If I want drama I go home and deal with my 15 yr old!!!

Nice work Luke, show us some e30 shit!!!

Coming soon to a forum near you...a little teaser:

Yes, I needed 2X30" of port length, so I made a habitrail inside the box.

Aeroports molded into a late style rear deck is the plan...maybe I can find one at the picnic.

Single 4 ohm Exile XP 12", 600.2 running it, firing through the fold down armrest. 600+ RMS on a single 12 should be plenty loud, 2.4 cubic feet tuned at 31Hz should be low, Exile should make it clean.

                              Nothing will make it light.

The hole in the back is being made for a 1.25" thick lexan window with the BMW Roundel CNC milled in the back, edge lit with 12 blue LEDs.

All of this crap is in my spare time, so it happens slowly.

                              Luke
