Looks good but I can't tell where that amp is located. Where?

When are you going to start building more of the 10" boxes for the rest of us to buy? I am in for one

I am one of those that have herd this first hand. This car sounds amazing with its setup. With almost full access to the trunk and built first class. I like it much better than my setup for sure!

AS far as the amp goes, its located up under the rear trunk lid.
Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs!

Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Thanks Mastrcrus, I am surprised no one has made some yet except for they are time consuming on a one at a time basis. Kind of tricky at first getting the timing right and such, but I am no pro. The mold is pretty easy to remove for you track guys.
Vedubin, Is correct the amp is mounted under the rear deck out of the way. Thanks Gordon, for the props you got to see some of the build and suffering I'm very happy with it so far.

I had my spare tire well glassed into a massive mox for a 15 before, but that was just for extra airspace

Looks great. The door speaker pods turned out great.

Doesn't your amp overheat in that position? You're generally not supposed to mount an amp upside down because the heat rises back into it instead of dissipating away. At least, that's what I've heard.

It's very cold where you live (-300). lol

                Great looking job, man.

I am sure it sounds pretty nice too!

I would follow Andrews advice, though, and mount that amp differently.

What I do when a customer demands that location is to use long bolts through the rear deck (generally 1/4") with a nut under the rear deck to stabilize, then mount the amp with more nuts above and below the amp, so the amp sits about an inch (or more) below the surface.

On the other hand, if it isn't shutting down, what the hell...leave it.

                  Thanks again guys.
I would have done the spare tire well also except that this is my daily driver and I must have a spare. The minute I get rid of it I would have gotten a flat for sure.
It might be because of the way it's being used in this set up but I have checked it after quite a bit of abuse and it gets just slightly warm, but not hot at all.
It sounds really clean and loud, I am only using "75 watts RMS" to each side in the fronts and 150 rms into 4 ohms for the sub. It does not allow bridging or anything like that and is the main reason I went with that sub. Both gains are set about half way. Like you said Luke, it will stay that way for now.
Later on I will be adding a Audiocontrol 6xs o r something like it because the Alpines "crossover" does not give me the tweaking I would like.

Wish I had the knowhow to make door cards like that! How much for a set? ;)

                    Looks nice man.

If you amp does end up shutting down, I have my amps mounted on the rear wall and it looks very clean, so you could always go there.

Netcsk, Patience is all you need. Get a spare set of door cards like I did from a local Junkyard to play with. They are not that hard to build, I promise. If your interested in making your own, Midrange must still go in the kicks. I fiberglassed those too. If you want PM me. I will make a mini write up for you and it will all make sense. They Vinyl was more of a PITA. They work well for Midbass, not sure about midrange.
As for the Amp. I had it mounted on the rear wall when I had a set of 6x9's. Looked nice but. I wanted to make use of the extra space.

Yeah, I just don't have the space at the moment. I do all my audio stuff at work but I don't think I should be doing fiberglass in there (the smell and mess). I've worked with it before but I just don't have the space. Maybe if I get a good week off.

                        Anyway, nice install bud!

Netcsk. I completely understand. Same here. Efficiency FTL for now.
                            Thanks E30Gangsta!

Okay I know this thread is dead... but how do you make a mold like that for your trunk without making a mess? Do you justlay down plastic and lay the glass on top of that?
