Mystery wire in my dash ... where does it go? (pics)

I was replacing the bulbs in my OBC yesterday and came across this wire. It comes out of a loom in the dash near the computer, above the glove box. I put my voltmeter on it and it didn't read anything with the car on.

Wires are brown & red w/green stripe.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Glovebox light maybe? Looks like a simple power/ground plug.

It isn't the glove box light, I already figured that one out.

This car has been mistreated for sure, so I'm just trying to tie up these loose ends.

It's like a flashlight charger that plugs into the left side of your glovebox. The brown is ground.... I thought that the red/yellow was power, but only when the car is on.. hmm. Check this out.. see what you can find with these wiring diagrams..

Yes, it should be the charger dock for the BMW glovebox flashlight.

Ooooo .. glovebox flashlight. Perfect, just what I need. I guess I'll use this as a power lead to hardwire my radar detector.

            Thanks guys!

Check it with your meter because it might not be 12 volts or enough amps to power the detector. The circuit is designed to prevent the flashlight from overcharging and it shuts off intermittantly.

Yea, just to repeat it. It definitely looks like the flashlight connector.
