Looking for a good HU for my car.. recommendation?

Looking at price range of $2-$300 to spend.

    Here's my needs:

    -ipod capable
    -superb sound quality
-the buttons to have some sort of a orange/redish color to it to match stock factory buttons
    -of course the usual things

I don't know much about stereo out there, but I was looking at possibly an Alpine unit.

    Anyone have recommendations?

Nope, 12.95 a month for either. I have Sirius and I freakin' love it

HD is free. You just need to buy the hardware.

HD has pretty limited coverage at this point though. if you google it, you can see what radiostations broadcast in your area. For me, there are only two stations... hardly worth the cost of the add-on.

sounds a lot better almost every station out here is HD but we only have like 10 stations total, at least that i have ever heard of. I say you would be better with just worrying about ipod adapter no radio for me, since i eventually want to fill in the antenna for a cleaner look.

I got my clarion 745 for $250 and it has dual 24 bit DACs and the illumination matches the e30 perfectly.

Try to find a Becker... they're really nice.
