    Alpine CDA-7893 Faceplates?

I picked up an Alpine CDA-7893 head unit this weekend as part of a package of car stereo equipment I picked up at a yard sale for $60. The only this I'm missing is the faceplate.

Does anyone out there know where I could buy just the faceplate or if the faceplates from similar Alpine head units swap out?

I was pretty sure you can't, thats part of the safety feature behind a detachable faceplate.

Wow, ironic. I just decided to mess w/ mine tonight. Took it out of the e30 months ago and remembered that for some function the lights turned red instead of blue. Right now I'm trying to disassemble the faceplate and attempting to swap the lights so the primary one is red.

I was thinking about selling mine, but this project got me thinking.

I don't want to take this OT though.
