So my car came with a back seat without the ski hole port. I was wondering if it would help me get better bass in from my sub (in the trunk) if I removed that plate, but still kept my non-ski hole back seat in.

ok to remove the back seat follow these steps
1 - remove lower portion of seat by popping up the two corners of the seat which are located behind the driver and passenger seat. then take bottom part of back seat out of the car.
2 - get a 10mm socket and there are two bolts, one on each side that need to be removed. they are on the same level as the bottom portion of the seat. they are on the sides, facing towards the middle of the car.
3 - once these are removed, simply push the seat up and it will slide out of the holding brackets.
for installation, just reverse these directions.

hey... I have a 2-dr so I'm not 100% sure I have that ski plate but my car came with a back seat that is not an e30 or it's got headrests and an arm rest. So I want to install a ski hole to use it for skis. Can you tell me if my car has a ski plate and if so how would I go about taking it out? I was going to litterally cut a hole in the rear firewall...
Currently there is an amp board bolted up in the trunk, strut bar & sub so it's hard to see from the trunk side. I want to install the ski pass thru though.
Any help? Also do any of you guys have a template or profile of the rear bulkhead so I could design a better (non ghetto) amp board?
