So from the reading I've done I need an alarm with a dual proximity microwave sensor in it. I think this one here might do the trick... am i correct?

Dang, That looks nice. It seems like it would work well too. Nice price also. But the only problem I am having is how would I install it? I am no electrical wizz. Do you know if they come with manual/instructions for our cars ot even if they work for our cars?

I am a Scytek dealer. I have a Galaxy 5000 with window modules in my car.

EDIT: and my wifes (GF) E30, my Astro still has an Audiovox, most all of my buddies have a Galaxy 5000 too...some with 2 way, some with normal transmitters. I do not like using 2 way transmitters on a manual transmission.

In case you did not know, I own Loud & Clear Car Audio, in Springfield, Oregon.

              thus the screen name...

ah okay. I'd be hard for be to get stuff from you considering I live in Canada...
but wouldy ou recommend the Galaxy 5000? and is it compatible with the microwave sensor?
and more importantly would the Galaxy 5000 actually work in my car(it doesnt have power locks, but they do all unlock when i unlock one door though)

That is power locks. I am pretty sure that all e30's came witht them. But maybe I am wrong.

so how is it that you don't have power locks? You have central locking... which means there are solenoids to actuate the locking mechanisms in your doors and trunk. the solenoids are run from electricity.

                    you have power locks.

If they don't all lock when you lock one door, then you probably need a new central locking computer...

or i've heard in some rare cases that bad muffler bearings can cause the problem too.

                    Hope this helps,
                    Addis

Not all e30s have power locks, mine doesn't.

oh okay! I thought that to have power locks you would have a switch like your window control swithces to lock and unlock. yeah when i lock one door both doors lock, trunk locks, and gas door locks as well
