good in dash? i mean i know nakamichis reputation and everything i've heard from them is amazing but one thats that low of a price sorta concerns me ($150 on ebay)...seems cheap for a nakamichi? discuss...

I'm going to have as-new gently used CD500 for sale pretty shortly. Comes with all original manuals, boxes, packing etc... Could prolly do $300 on it.

The CD300 is their entry level deck. Nothing special about it. $150 is the ebay price.

I'd snag that CD500 from Jordan. Good price for a killer deck.

The Nakamichi CD-500 is a true audiophiles headunit.
Its one of precious few headunits that look like they belong in a BMW dash.

^how many pre-amp outputs does it have? im looking for something with F&R + SUB control. my pioneer has 3 outputs, but the deck itself just doesnt look good...

I got a cd500 as well to let go, but it skips on CD so I'm not sure how much that's worth at this point. Anyone knows?

My CD-500 has 3 sets of 4volt preouts. Front/Rear and a Sub. HU does have Sub level control as well for that preout.
It also has seperate Analog and Digital inputs, as well as CD Changer control.

If it skips it needs repairs, and its going to be expensive.
