Auto Loc one touch window module

So I am soon switching to the e36 window switches and want to add the one touch feature as well.
on this site, http://www.mesaperformance.com/web_s...ry=yes&cart_id= (at the bottom of the page) I found this module that controlls one window, and the guy at mesa told me that the module is about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

At BavAuto,(http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp ) They have this one for about $120 that controlls two windows, but I dont know haow big it is. Either way I would like ot have both front windows have 1 touch feature, but I need to ba able to hide the module of course.

Has any one done this? I am also assuming that I just need the regular e36 switches (white base) and not the ones that you press down further for the e36 auto down feature (green base I think), right?
    Let me know. Thanks.

I've had the autoloc units in my car for a few years. Each unit either controls one window for both up and down feature or each unit can control two windows for down only. I got mine on ebay and saved a bit (I put one on each window and my sunroof). They are small enough where I put the two for the windows in the shift console of my 86.

You do realize both bavauto and mesaperformance are selling the same unit right? The autoloc units are not "BMW" and they are all the same for any model car.

Talk to Luke (StereoInstaller). He can get them/sells them I believe.

I have a the autoloc unit and a few other ones for doing some testing.

I DO NOT like any of them. The timing they use is off. It makes it hard to just crack the window.

BTW, the BMP "unit" is just two autolock units...Oh, that and when you install it you'll need to cut the red wire loop - they ship them set up to be very sensitive, it's not adjustable - cutting the red wire put it into "unsafe" for kids mode.

It seemed to me that they were different units. BavAuto says it controlls 2 windows and its $120. Mesa says it controlls 1 window and it is like $45. I want one touch for up and down, for both windows. You say there is enough room for 2 of the units to be hidden? Either way I think I should go with Mesa as its cheaper still for me to get 2 that one from BavAuto, and closer.

They are the same unit. The bavauto kit already contains two while the Mesa has only one per order.

Yes, if you cut the mounting tabs off them, you can fit them in the shift console.
