got a killer deal on a nib piece. truthbetold i want the 7100 but for the e30 i can live with last years model. i had a pioneer deh p960 but that premier pos had to go back. will report back soon.

If you're using it for active 3 way- know that you cant adjust the sub volume from the deck.

Thats really my only complaint.

The amber color match is pretty good. The big buttons match the defroster button exactly, while the smaller buttons are the same color, they look like the rest of the dash, and it looks good.

The GPS functionality is fun, don't waste your money on the bluetooth unit if you're using external amplifiers, it won't work.

I also get quite abit of laser noise coming through the subwoofer, which is slightly annoying.

The memory stick only works with sony ATRAC or whatever, and the max size you can use is 128mb... so don't plan on using the memory stick.

Don't get me wrong, its a nice cd player for the money, but I think they dropped the ball on writing the firmware.

just using it for playing cd's. no subwoofer. picked it up for 200 bucks vs 600 for a cd7100. i just need something to put into the DIN slot when i sell the e30.
