    Headunit wiring...

I had posted a previous thread about re-wiring my head unit temporarily using stock in dash wiring. I used all the directions on the link that was provided and the stereo works. The only thing that isn't working is the 12 volt memory wire or something similar to. Whenever I turn on the car it's as if I had never even had the cd player installed, the cd does not resume where it was left off when the car was turned off. How can I fix that?

On the back of your CD player there should be a wire that is connected directly to the battery that has constant power.

Right now I've got the 12volt memory teed in with the 12v constant and it still does that.

the memory wire, and the constant are the same thing. there are two wires. one is constant (i think it is a smaller wire). and the other one is ignition (it is a large wire, i think it is yellow). just get a voltmeter in there and sort things out, see whats what.

Are you certain? If you have your 12V constant lead fromt he headunit hooked up to a constant 12V off of the battery, and it still does that, then something is wrong with your headunit.
