So it worked before you pulled it? Now it doesnt after you removed it? The diction/structure of the sentence in your first post made it seem as if you hadn't tried to start it after you pulled the OBC.

Maybe the 13-button has some function on the starter?

          yes

it ran like a champ before i starting effing w/ it. i got the bright idea to swap the 13 w/ the 6 in my 90 i.

As far as I know, the OBC has nothing to do with the starter, nor should there be any relation/dependency of function. I curious as to what exactly you did when you were "effing" with it. Perhaps you inadvertently disrupted something else while you were tinkering.

Is the car even making an attempt to turn over?

Do you have the necessary harness to convert from a 6 button to a 13 button?

              obc

i followed the write up on strictly eta, and zoso's website. removed the obc and the entire wiring harness....planned on doing the same w/ the 90. i asked in a thread on here if there was anything i needed other than what was in the 2 cars...and was told there was not. are you talking about some other harness beyond what was in 87?

you unplugged the c104 plug in the glove box. it is ran through the obc harness. look in the glove box for a 3 pin plug from the ecu. white/black/green wires. now look for another plug like it but female or male i can't remember which is which. plug them in and now it should start. its part of the anti theft system. it shuts off fuel/spark.

sounds right to me. I was gonna say that the CODE button's system probably had something to do with it all...
