    alpine won't load cds

anyone know why my alpine cda 9847 wont load cds? bumped it the other day when i was putting the hvac panel back in, the face came off and when i put it back on it wouldnt load a cd. just says error, or eject.
It doesnt make any noise when I try to load, just goes in about 1/2 way, and nothing. It will sometimes say error, but lately it reads eject. Worked fantastically when I got it from po.

And no there isnt a cd stuck in it. Any ideas?

pull your faceplate & make sure your contact pins are all aligned.

what's the exact thing the message screen is saying?

are all other functions working at the moment?

I'd pull the fuse & let it sit for 10 minutes - kind of a 'master reset' & see what happens.

If the 9847's didn't come with the inline fuse thing, then disconnect your yellow wire - you'll loose all your presets & settings, just so you know.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

also try pressing the reset on the unit. it may be hard to find and you will need a pen to push it
