    one step closer

well, my obc swap turned into a clusterf#*k for sure, w/ me pulling the whole hvac panel and having the car disassembled for days. I had to order a new headlight switch, something I figured out here, THANKS very much.
So I put the new switch in today and voila, I have cluster and Obc lights again....hooray for me. But I still have no illumination on the hvac panel, and at the headlight switch...do you think just bulbs? After all this madness?
I also f'ed up my cruise control somehow, and my heat seems to depend on whether I am giving it gas or sitting at idle, cold at idle and warming up when cruising. Do you think I have cut off flow by crimping a hose?

Also, how do I keep the damn heat control lines in their place, as soon as i have them on i replace the panel and they pop off again.

These cars are a never ending story, but I gotta admit, when I got my switch in and lights back, it was like Christmas. Thanks again, I wouldnt have known to replace the HL switch if I hadnt read it here.....

Trust me I feel your pain, i just went through some of this myself. If I understand you correctly you need 3 of part 7 listed here:http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...02&hg=64&fg=25 to get the cable to stay on. As far as your hvac lights you might have blown out your rheostat by plugging the defrost into the hazar or vice versa. Or is that what you meant that you already replaced when you said headlight switch?
