He just recently bought a 2000 Porsche Carerra 4 convertible, with a hardtop, with 17,000 miles for $37,500. This is a hell of a steal, so he decides to get some nice stuff to add on and such.
He decides he needs new speakers because the ones he has are not up to par in the rear, mainly due to their location (inside the rear "door" cards, well below earshot level).
So I tell him to find some really nice component speakers to replace them, like Memphis or Focal's. even JL, and some other brands.
He goes to Best Buy and gets Infinity Reference coaxials, which are okay at best. So is it just me who thinks he is really stupid for doing this? He's loaded up to his eyeballs and he gets this new car, and he buys some junk from Best Buy's crack team of specialists?!
Anyways, I'm through. It has however made me want to buy some audio equipment, but it will have to wait until later, and I need to find a place that sells some Memphis stuff...
