    Radio Code Help!

Okay, here's the deal. I pulled my radio out to do some work inside the dash of my '86 325. Plugged everything back in and went to type in the anti-theft code. The serial number on the my code card matches the one on my radio, but the code isn't working. I get to the last number and it beeps at me, meaning I need to start over. I don't get it.

Then I called the nearest BMW dealer, but they won't do it without the car and radio present, and want to charge me $70. I could just buy some crappy aftermarket CD player for that money and probably have something with more output than the original radio, but I went through the trouble of installing a Harman/Kardon iPod adapter to keep the stock look.

Anyone have a crack for the code or at least some sort of advice?

Serial Number is A60375980F if that helps.

So I found someone to find the code for me. It's the same one that's on the original card I have (which doesn't work), which means that something is just screwed up.

Leave the key on for an hour and a half without touching anything and then try it.

Where can you get the code outside of the dealer?

That's pretty much it. Most will give it to you over the phone if you have the radio serial number on hand. 80's cassette players aren't the hot theft item they once were.

If it's timed out, leave the key on and wait for it to reset.
