Anyone know about the resister on the Condenser/Auxilary Fan?

For those familiar with the electrical/Auxilary/Condenser fan and its electronics, (Its all the same thing just with different names), I just purchased a new resister through pelican parts because am quite sure that the one on my car is messed up. I noticed that the original resister has the cables going straight inside without being able to unplug unlike the one I purchased. The new one has the option to plug them in and out so all have to do with the old one is cut the cables, strip them, apply the appropriate adapter and it should be ok right?

try cleaning it first, I cleaned the contacts on mine and it woeked perfect after that.

The problem with that is what I was trying to describe. The original resistor does not have the contacts accessible thus why I described that the cables go straight in and thats it. Was yours like this?

Yes either model will work. They have the same impedence (resistance value) just different mounting and connectors. You will just have to do some fabbing with the new one.
