Speakers in e30 vert

hy guys ! I have a 91' vert e30 and i want to improve his audio system . I have a blaupunkt cd-player (don't know the model) with the output 4x50 Watts , but the speakers are the original ones . I would like to know what speakers can I put in the car because the space is very restricted. I don't have to worry only for the size of the speaker but the depth is very small too . If someone can help me with some advices I would be grateful . Thanks a lot !

that is what i found too . But i think there are different types of speakers in front and back . and also I have a question . 5.25" ~ 13cm is the diameter of the speaker right ? (i am a noob at that) ... thanks

yes, but it doesnt really matter.

in the cabrio the rear speakers are kind of irrelevant, considering no matter how good/big they are, when you are driving at 65mpg, its unlikely you will hear anything from them. Unless you are blasting it like you are 15 and just got your first car.

Build the front ones on the door, making pods for them and go for 6.5s if you want to improve sound. You also want a decent amp to drive the speakers.

actually , i don't want them to be very powerfull , but they are not in very good condition now , and i want to keep the car in it's original condition , so i'll go for original size speakers. that is my interest...

go on crutchfield.com to find out what speakers fit cabs. There are not very many options though.

The key for the rear speakers is the magnet needs to be small enough to fix behind the rear panels and the tweeter pod can't protrude out past the top of the speaker or the cover won't fit correctly.

I ended up taking an old set of speakers and removing the tweeter pod entirely so that they'd fit. The rear speakers are only for fill, and pretty much useless when you're driving anyway.

The only speakers from Crutchfield that fit int he back are some POS Blaupunkts that have no Bass whatsoever.

They cost about $30.00 a pair and are worth about 1/10th of that.

I think they also had some Infinity's, but they were much more expensive.

I took the Blaupunkts out and put the stock speakers back in and they sound better.

thank you guys ... I didn't thought it was such a mess with my speakers :curse: . Could someone please give me a recommandation of what he has in it's vert and it has a good sound ? I would like the model of the speakers, if someone could be soooo kind :firehop:

i purchased some clarion speakers last year for my cabrio. i have to say that the magnet on the brand new speakers was the same size as the factory speakers. This has led me to believe that there really isn't much of a difference.

ok ...so i guess it's not so hard to find some speakers that will fit with no mods right? that would be magnificent :D . Tx a lot

I used a set of audiobahn components in mine. fits under the cover just fine and sounds great.
