    CALLING STEREOINSTALLER1: CD43 Wiring

Sooo. I take it that judging by the wiring diagrams... the CD43 radio has it's own internal amplifier that doesn't rely on the Stock E30 amplifier.

With that being said, Wiring the CD43 will be nothing more than getting the harness, radio, and aftermarket speakers and manually wiring them up....

Yes, I have the same(tape deck) radio in all my cars. It is a very easy install. The face will stick out 1/8 an inch so you need to do some trimming to fit it flush. There is a write up somewhere for flush mounting it.

For flush mounting the CD43 E36 cd player?

Doesn't your tape player integrate the external speaker fader? I don't think that the CD43 works off of the external fader.

Nothing to do with the fader. You will se what I am talking about when you push the radio into the hole.

Do you know where the writeup for fitting the CD43 is? Thanks alot

Yes it does have a internal amp that powers a external amp. The internal one sounds just fine, my convertible is running the c43 tape deck from a 98 328i and it is ok. I will try to find the write up, give me a couple of minutes.

Keep in mind that the cd43 does not match the texture of our hvac parts, the early e34/e36 tape player does match perfectly, Then just get the CD changer for it.
