Now I Never Have to Remove this F'in Cluster Again!!!

... or so I thought. Just my luck, right after I finished this mod... 3 days later a cluster bulb burned out. So now I have to pull it again tomorrow. Now I know this has been done before, but I couldn't find any pictures of it. So here's some pics of my remote SI board battery install. I did this because pulling out the cluster with an airbag wheel/column is a serious pain in the a$$. I also replaced the odo gears, carbon overlay with rings, and polished up the plexi window so it looks fresh. It's nice to have a fully working cluster, or at least it was until the bulb burned out! Grrrrr. Let me know what you guys think.

I really need to get around to doing this sometime. Looks great! I want to screw around with LED backlit gauges.

Why have the batteries "remote" and why are there two of them? Wired in parallel to increase mAh?

Because I hate pulling this cluster... no other reason. I just put 2 of them because that's what the factory had. 2 lithium 1/2 AA sanyo batts. I believe they are wired in parallel on the Si board though.

Looks good. I did the CF/rings thing to mine a few years back and I still can't get enough of it.

Can I just get these on Ebay? The CF/rings, I mean. They look pretty good.

Yes... that's exactly where these came from. Seller: kensu95 I think? I know it's kensu something.

After having them now for about a week... I love them. And the lighting effect at night that the rings give is awesome. I'll try and snap a pic. The rings light orange so they frame the gauges at night and, to me at least, makes them easier to read.
