I have an Alpine IDA 001 and the lack of EQ functions are really hurting my system. Currently I have a 4 channel fosgate and a 2 channel alpine pushing the factory mids and highs and a MTX 12" sub. It sounded a lot better when i had my AVIC N1. Any suggestions on an EQ to mount to my amp rack. I've only used soundstream in the past but the units i normally get are too big and too expensive for factory speakers.

Soundstream makes half-DIN mount EQ's for under $100. Check out www.carmedia1.com. They sell their stuff. I was actually looking into getting their MPQ-7XO to use with an MP3 player and amp instead of a head unit. Only $49. -

luke knows what it's called but I bought a nla equalizer off ebay for 100$ that comes well recommended, plus has a full warranty. So even if you buy a dead one, you can send it back for a free refurb. Its called an EQX

I got my EQx off of CL for dirt cheap.
