    Ski pass sub box

About to start building my box, sealing it up against the ski pass.

Before I start my drawings, what is the angle of the floor-wall?

    I know with E36's it's 65deg's......

    Cheers,
    Jack.

I measured mine back when I was working on one. I don't remember what it is, but you could always measure it, treating it as a right triangle. Or a protractor works well.

Haha, triangle great idea didn't even think of that.

Jeesh, one year out of school and I'm already forgetting my maths. lol

So my dodgy measurements worked it out to be about 70 degrees.

The piece of paper I cut out to visualise it seems to match up almost perfectly, I'll be using a thick piece of foam/rubber as a gasket as well, so this is close enough for me.

So yeah, anyone else that's wondering; 70 degrees should work well.

        EDIT: Ack, double post.

That's roughly what mine came out to too.

when I did the math, it was about 70 degrees, when I used a tool that very neatly measures angles (not a protractor) it was 67-69 degrees. Either way, if you use thick enough gasketing material, you'll be fine. :)

So what I'm getting is that you are going to sela you box to the ski bag hole? I have a sealed box for 2 10's and I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Please keep us updated, I want to know how it will sound.

              Thanks

Sealing two subs against the ski pass proves a little more difficult, but it can be done. We made a box for my buddies E34 that had the subs mounted on an angle on each side so that both could be through the hole. Hard to explain, but yeah.

I ended up changing my design slightly and going ported, read through Luke's posts on boxes in the E30, was a great help for me.

If you have a vertical marker (and measurement), and measure the top and bottom depths as Luke stated, you can calculate the angle.
