I'm going to hold off on the pictures for the time being. I need to work on a grad paper.
I will say that the dash is 85% put back together, minus the Sony HU, the steering wheel, and the glove box. The GREAT news is that the car starts up, even after I removed TEN POUNDS OF WIRES(!!!!) from the car. This was my first concern after I started the wiring refresh.
Also on the very good news side, the A/C blows through all the vents now, since I was able to get a new center duct section to replace the one I'd removed with the speaker hole in it (I STILL laugh to myself when I think about that one). I also now have FOUR fan speeds since the new center dash control panel I got has the fourth speed (mine only went up to 3). All the lights and switches work.
I was able to clean up the wiring SUBSTANTIALLY. When I do post pics, I'll try to set them up as before/after compilations so everyone can see the difference. When I pulled the dash out three weeks ago (a month?), not a single wire bundle was routed through the reusable factory cable ties. The ones behind the gauge panel were broken, and the ones under the center duct were not there (due to the speaker installed where they would have been). Many of the wire bundles were beginning to lose their spiral-wrapped tape, and dealing with them was annoying to say the least - mostly because previous owners had routed wires through exposed areas of the bundles, adding to my headache.
Under the duct, I used self-adhesive zip-tie mounts (Home Depot), and some reusable cable ties from Radio Shack. These helped to bundle the wires up and out of the way in the center, just like they had been from the factory. I found some unbroken factory ones behind the ducts, which I relocated to the area behind the gauge panel. I used some plastic spiral cord wrap (not wire loom) to replace the dilapidated tape after I'd un-screwed the tangled-through wiring. These wraps became life savers.
There were still a few (at least two) bunches of wires - not part of main bundles - that didn't seem to have 'homes' where they could be comfortably tucked away, and which I had to zip-tie.
Stereo install is next (next few days/week), and I'll have ample pics of the car put back together.
