    When is this part used?

One end looks like it would fit the fan speed control, but the other end?

It's under "Wiring Blower" #6 , I don't understand why the other end has the round plug on it and where it would connect to?

Feel like selling it? A few months back I was looking for a new plug for the blower motor switch.

Hmm, when I think of it and am near the spare part collection, I'll look, but I think there were two different fan switches, an early and a late style. Might be to convert one to the other.

Correct, there are two different fan switches, but the wiring for the fan switch isn't seperate from the rest of the wires on the blower/ac box.... it's all integrated on the early and newer e30s. So thats why I was confused about the other end of this harness....

Here is what James had to say on this -

"Some early late 84 - 85 cars with 3 speed fans used an adapter to connect the fan switch to the heater blower motor, very rare part (although I have one from a late 83 build)

Basically a last ditch effort to make a switch work."
