    Sony stereo question

My car has a Sony CDX-GT710 stereo in it. The display has many intensely juvenile looking backgrounds (image function). You can scroll through about 15 different choices, they all look like tattoos. There is one selection with nothing, just plain, blank screen with the required info. The problem is that I cant figure out how to make my selection stick. I scroll through to the desired screen, but after a few seconds it returns to a default. The owners manual says that the volume knob is also the enter button, but it doesn't seem to affect the image button selection. Does anyone have a Sony with this feature? How do you selected a background and make it the default.

    Thanks

Dude honestly sony sucks. Sell it go out and buy you a pioneer or alpine.

Also you could just go for the radio delete option. It would sound better.

Ahhh, R3Vlimited never ceases to amaze me. Your response is more proof that the average age here is about 23.

I dont know why I bother.

      Nevermind, I figured it out.

I liked my GT71 just fine, and like you, I hated the damn visual crap.

Now I have a Pioneer DEH-P5000u, primarily because I wanted USB...which fucking ROCKS, I tell ya.

I miss the motorized face though.
