    custome speaker boxes..

has anyone built any custom speaker housings for mid range speakers that sit on the rear shelf but face forward?

why? can you not hear your rear speakers? most people complain about not hearing the fronts very well.

^Best solution is to upgrade your front speakers. Go with a set of components. If you are still unhappy with the sound, then it's time to relocate your front "woofers" (midbass drivers) to the door card/map pocket to bring the sound stage up. That's my plan.

Use luke's exile components. They are awesome.

^What he said... then you wanna relocate the midbass portion of the components onto your door card like below.

Still too low IMO. Mine are like 2 or 3'' above the map pockets.

I did it myself and I'm a noob. I don't know an itemized price - I ordered alot of stuff from luke.

                      I demand pics :)

Dont know if I would qualify this as an easy thing to do without buying premade ones. How did you go about it Turf? I'm going to do fiberglass then wrap with vinyl... but definitely wouldn't call that easy.

Joshua has an early model: door speakers are damn near impossible except in some kind of "pod".

I think I might be able to fit a set of components from Titanium Power in the early doors, I will take my parts car apart to see if they can go.

I might go as far as to make a template if a bunch of people are interested...

                            .

Wow. Those pods look identical to mine. The placement is fine IMO for Midbass as long as you put the midrange in the stock kickpanels.
