I'm new at hacking apart wiring harnesses since I usually only switch stock for stock, but luckily the PO already did it for me! I bought a used e34 tape deck and am trying to get it to work, but it sadly hasn't cooperated yet. My car is an '86 325e
Here's the wiring on the tape deck harness:

YL/RD - Left Front +
BL/RD - Right Front +
YL/BK - Left Rear +
BL/BK - Right Rear +
VI/WT - Ignition
RD/WT - Battery
YL/GY - Left
BU/GY - Right
GY/BK - Illumination
BR - Ground
WT - Antenna
and here's what remains of the hacked up stock wires.. cleaned up a bit (everything was doused in duct tape.) there's a white wire that's tucked way back in there but idk where that comes from.
antenna and misc.
so... wtf do i do to get this thing to work? i've searched for days and am tired of guessing wrong.
Also, my interior lights don't work as well as the passenger side window switches (power windows) and OBC13. I tried swapping to new interior bulbs and replaced all the fuses, but nothing is fixed.
