there has to be a FAQ for this.. putting tweeter pods in 325i

Got the tweeters out of the IS.. put them in the I... plugged them in at the mounting point. Now where do those wires go once they leaver the door?
I am guessing my issue is that the 325i doesn't use the factory amp.. so I will need to slice them into the existing speaker channels. (I don't know shit about stereo.. I just need music :) This car is a f'n PO hackjob btw.

I think it just goes down to the kickpanel above the speaker a little bit. Dig around it pops out somewhere...
As far as wiring it in, you need to give us some info on whats in your car, but I'll venture to guess that you'll need a crossover, or a new set of components that comes with its own crossovers.
Just splicing them in will probably bog out the stock tweeters and blow them, as well as change your impedance and possibly break decks/amps

Yea you will need crossovers to get the full effect from those, if you dont have the premium system, and even if you do you probably have a other than stock deck meaning the amp is a useless item.

Yeah the wire runs down the door panel to above the woofer in the kickpanel. Be sure you tape up all the wires running in the door panel as the window needs to move up and down and should not be inhibited (obviously). I ran my wire through the rubber grommet between the door and put some loom on it. There may be better ways to do it however.

And ya, it needs a crossover to realize its full potential.

heh. Shows you what I know. Can you guys suggest a small sized budget cross over? Again I am seriously not a sound guy just think it would be nice to have these guys working...

Trying to find a premade crossover to match the stock tweeter and whatever you have in your kickpanel will probably be impossible.
You could make one out of electronic parts for probably $15 but from the sound of it soldering a custom crossover sounds out of your league.

The best option is to buy an aftermarket set of components matched to each other for $100-$150. You'll need an amp if you don't have one already.
