You can see my subwoofer if you look through my windshield, as I have not yet put the armrest back in my seat.

My port tubes are far more obvious that the pics above, since we are talking about 2 4" Aeroports...tinted windows FTW!

What about getting some acoustically transparent cloth and making your whole back deck stealth? It wouldn't be too hard, and it'd be better than advertizing your subs are there for the taking!

But don;t the cabrios have a narower back seat? Otherwise we would all have m3 looking cabrio rear seats.

Doesn't sound like you understand. Pull the panels out ( the ones next to the rear seat and below the side window) and cut a hole in it and mount a speaker. With the panel out you will see how much room you have and the best location for your speaker and go buy some that fit. You probably should keep it a little forward in the panel so your rear passengers doesn't block them with their kidneys. Rear speakers are for your rear passenger's enjoyment anyway, right?

Josh, you won't lose any space in the rear seat.

Just below the rear side windows.

That is the best place for rears in our cars...same phase angle as the fronts, far better clarity.
Luke, I know you are probably a master at this so you are the best person to ask?.

Would you happen to have a picture of the speakers installed in the rear side panels, maybe size(dimensions)., on what would fit best and some brands if possible.

    Thanx in advance

if i chose to go with mids in the back panels, how much room (estimate) is lost in the backseat?

They were like that originally. It may have bad sound, but it would be the same as OEM (Or very similar).
