I'm trying to do some experimenting in the basement with my extra BMW radio and the radio is not accepting the Code.

Does the anti-theft radio need be installed in the car in order to work?
I'm wondering.

How do you know the code is the right one for the radio? Do you have the card?

No problem there, I have the codes of all of the bmw radios I've ever owned.

[E30 Cabrio]

Install radio. Turn key to the first "On" position. Leave it like that for 1 hour minimum. Enter code.
