    Electrical problem...

    Hi guys,

I have an electrical problem. Let me tell what happened.
I turned on my engine. While I was waiting for my engine to get warm; I was trying to change my trunk bulb.
I pulled out the trunk light housing; accidentally the cable (or something) touched the body and it sparked. The next thing I know. The interior light (not the cockpit), stereo, lighter light, RPM gauge, MPG gauge, rear plate light, clock, and of course the trunk light died.
The cockpit light, clock light is (but without the time) are still working.

First thing that came in my mind was the fuse. So I opened my Bentley book and replaced the entire fuses that are related to all of those that died. And Everything still not working. I don't really know much about electrical. Maybe you guys have had similar problem.
Any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank guys.

Pull back the trunk liner on the drivers side. Behind the metal bracket next to the antenna is a black box. If that box is bad, then none of the rear lights will work. It is a check relay for the check panel.

Thanks for the reply... but i'm having trouble locating the trunk liner you're talking about.

            Update

The fuses that i changed were:
            5,6,10,12,17,18,19,21,22,23,27, and 28.

            Update:
            Recently I've changed fuse 3,4,9,11, and 24.
Glove box, lighter light, rear plate lights are working now.

Stereo, interior dome light, clock, and trunk light are still not working.
Could it be the relay ?? just a wild guess...

I had a similar problem, but it happened when i was pushing my head unit back into the dash. But I had the same loss of functions. Were you ever able to fix the problem?

Fuse 21 is suspect. Double check it.
