Worst case, call a dealership service department in the morning. They'll hook you up.

BMW in Irvine CA would not hook me up. BMW in Riverside hooked it up. I have to try it when I get home to see if it works, but that is one more reason I hate BMW in Irvine.

Weird. The only dealer in my town looked up my code in about 20 seconds, no BS. First time I'd ever called them.

I would think the old tapes decks are not on the top of the list for stolen items anymore and a dealer would realize that. anyways. I got the code.

          thanks

I asked a BMW dealer to give me the code over the phone, they said i needed to come into the shop, provide proof of ownership, my drivers license, the radio out of the dash, and then it would be $30 for all my trouble of going there. I laughed at the guy and said for 30 dollars more I can get a new cd player. Definately a good way to NOT help me.

I just call my local dealer, and they give the code over the phone (helps when you are friends with a guy who owns a dealer)
