    Windshield Wiper Help

can someone please tell me how to remove the whole windshield wiper assembly? (not the wiper arm, the rods under the grill)
The ball is worn down and wont stay in the socket anymore so I need to remove the whole setup and replace it. I just don't see how to remove everything.....any ideas???

That mechanism you refer to is typically called a "wiper transmission".

This is a whore of a job.

I left all that shit in the last 2 cars I parted out!

you're telling me...ITS A FREAKING B*TCH TO DO!!! I have resorted in the past to using string and copper wire to keeping the ball in the socket, but I have access to a new wiper transmission and I want to exchange it.
