Bench testing 13 button OBC

Has anybody done this? I have a harness that some idiot cut at the cluster and I want to test a couple of OBCs but I am unable to get the wiring correct. I have the correct yeart electrical manual, but typical of E30 you look at the diagram and it makes sense than you do it and it does not work. TIA
