    Relays under $15?

The dealership price for a fog light relay is nuts, but unfortunately it isn't just a regular 5-prong Bosch relay with the 87a terminal missing - two of the other poles are swapped. Anyone know where I can find a functional replacement for a reasonable price? It's the only thing holding up my foglight install.

I was hoping for something I could pick up at a local parts store...

if you know the part number, your local stores can cross reference it.

        Especially Bosch numbers

For foglights, you should see if you can find a SPST 5 pin relay. You will see 2 "87" terminals instead of an 87 a and an 87. Most Auto Parts stores have them.

Problem is that the 30 and 86 terminals are reversed from standard on the orange BMW relays, and cross-referencing didn't turn anything up in AutoZone's computer or books. I tried removing the 87a terminal from a standard Bosch relay and it didn't work. They actually had an aftermarket relay without the 87a terminal (just four prongs), but 30 and 86 were still in the regular position.

I can't think of anything else that uses that pin arrangement. That's why I usually scoop all of them up at the junkyard.

Maybe check in a VW as well?
