Head unit wiring info.

OK my free car was missing its aftermarket deck, someone yanked it out before I got it, so I have a couple wires loose and cut in the hole in the dash. I'll prob. source a new aftermarket head unit, but I just want to know what wires these are:

white-
red/green-
grey/violet-
yellow/brown-
blue/brown twisted to a solid blue-
yellow-
red/white(has a factory connector on the end)-

This car is an 89' 325i coupe, with no premium sound speakers on the rear deck..

this doesn't help much. is there a post that just says what color is what on the BMW head unit harness? or simply what wire hooks up to:
dimmer, ignition, antenna motor, battery wire???

I'll take a look at the old head unit when I get home for wire/color diagram.

My premium stereo had a BMW factory amp in the trunk that drove all the speakers.
I had to bypass...
I spent a morning relaying wire from the dash to the speakers, through the center armrest and under the carpet piece that leads to the back seat.

You might consider re running wires if you're unable to make use of the existing wiring.

over on m42club.com theres a radio wiring how to in the DIY how to section, its a great guide, did mine in like 1/2 hour. i used a dmm to double check, but its a good guide.
